TR6 TR6 fuel tank fitting size.

I went to the hardware store to get a 90 for the fuel line out the tank and it's not NPT. What is it? This is really becomming a headache. Main thing I need a brass 90 to screw into the tank. Where can I get one quickly?
 
its not a pipe thread, its a machine thread, not tapered, I belive there is a flaired tubing connection into the tank but I cannot help you with the thread size I would think its the same thread that goes into the fuel pump from the tank

Yes, there was a compression fitting on mine as well.

I don't think you want a 90, not unless you have fuel injection.
More like this. And I think the tubing fits into the tank a little higher
than the bottom of the tank to keep any crude from passing into the line.

I can't rebember if you install the tube before or after you
install the tank. I think before.
Fuel line out of the tank is 5/16

1. Rimmer has the PI model tank outlet that is curved as the pump for those was in der boot.

I made a curved piece of tubing. It screws in o.k but I don't have enough room for it and believe me, I made it as tight a bend as possible and as close to the tank as possible.
 
That's what the guys who built mine said.
Can't bend it that tight.
Don't know if the Rimmer ones is tighter.
Mine works for location
 
Are you sure it isn't tighter.It is made for pretty close to your application.
E mail them and ask what the height of the bend is
 
Made it work. Tightened the bend a bit and added some clearance. Should be o.k now. bad weather moving in so I'm staying indoors.
