T'was just a curiosity question. Nut and bolts I can do
and quite well. I've pulled the tranny myself and installed
new engine mounts myself. I have literally replaced almost every
fastener I could get a wrench onto.
I have no doubt at all that I could strip and remove the Beast's
engine and install a replacement IF the tranny to replacement engine fit.
I have zero $$$ for any fancy V-8 swaps. So, I am back to repair for
months; drive a coupla miles, breakdown, repair for months, drive a coupla miles, endless loop.
This thread can drift away now.
<span style="color: #006600">Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: very soon now the car
is due to have a serious, major breakdown that will again require
complete systems replacement over many months. How do I know this?
It stopped raining this morning, I fired up the beast and ran it's
wheels off for well over an hour at speeds up to 70 mph.
By tomorrow morning it should be dead again. ha, ha, ha!!
