TR6 TR6 EFI Conversion

I have just finished converting my '69 TR6 to EFI. I have fitted an Emerald K6 ECU, triple Jenvey Heritage Throttle Bodies on a Racestorations DCOE manifold. The engine is a saloon block with a lightened & balanced rotating assembly, bored out to +30. The cylinder head is a Fast Road spec' from Peter Burgess and the cam is a PH2 from Newman. The car went on the Rolling Road at Emerald on Friday and produced 178.9bhp, I was very pleased with that.

Nice!

What are your thoughts of adding EFI to stock TR6 engine?
Would there be any benefit?

You would get much improved starting and improved MPG I would expect, on a US spec' car there is always the Pattonmachine injection conversion you could do.

Exactly what I'm looking for to put on my 3.4 MK1 Jag. Have seen these on the TRs, and one on a Jag, looks exactly like the multiple carb engines.

Yeah, love it.

Don:

You installed the O2 sensors on the header branches from the outer cylinders, 1 & 6. I think I know the reasoning, but please explain.

And also curious to know how you dealt with crankcase ventilation.

The 2 ITB's feed 1-3 and 2-6 respectively
The 2 tubes in front were the easiest.
Crankcase ventilation?..., same way the stock did it

Standard off the shelf
Don't think the company is in business anymore

I looked it up
the name is up for sale on line

Thanks. They were mainly ITB's Looks like it was a small operation running out of a guy's garage (or something like that). Stopped in about 2017. Lots of photo's in google.

When I was considering EFI for my TR3, I was looking at these throttle bodies from Borla Induction. As it turned out, I got the original SUs dialed in so good with a wide band O2 sensor that I abandoned the EFI project. I have a bunch of new stuff that I accumulated from that project such as fuel pump, MegaSquirt (w/wiring harness), temp sensors, and MAP sensor if anyone is interested...very reasonably priced.

Yes, I was going to run those off the Patton Computer set up
