I would think that one could find a newer better quality rheostat. I looked at my customer car last night as the dash is out and looked at the schematic.
We need to know what the current draw of all the dash lights that are controlled by the rheostat. Then we can spec out the replacement part. As the gauges are all out, I could not easily do this last night, need to ground the bulb holders to complete the circuit and measure the amperage draw.
Has anyone already did this?
