I guess I don't understand why this guy (the TR5 seller) is being beaten up so much around here. He is selling, and I think we can agree on this, a relatively rare automobile. I suppose he could have vacuumed it out a bit and rattle canned the suspension for the pics, but he has shown it as it should be, a driver. While not exactly a model of tact in his discourse, I understand some of the frustration exhibited in his ebay comments. Check out the prices being paid for 60's and early 70's 396 SS Chevelles, GTO's , Barracuda's or a tri 5 Chevy. You will see Chevelles on ebay for 40,000+, I'll bet there are more 396 SS in existence now than were built! A 57 Chevy will sell for over 70,000. If you go to a car show in even a relatively small town you will see, if you are bored enough to look, scores of this stuff. And look at the absolute crap engineering in these old muscle cars, drum front brakes in a car approaching 400hp, no wonder so many of them are trailer queens, they are not safe to drive. Detroit turned out a gazillion of these heaps. Don't even get me started on old Rustangs, the largest mass produced junker I have ever seen. Yea I know, its the market.
OK, I feel better know.
Oh yea, about organization memberships, if they discriminated against crabby old curmudgeons, we wouldn't belong anywhere, the organization would be the worse, we do have talents beyond our unappealing presentation.
