OK I surrender. If I don't loosen the rear fender bolts today, so I can remove the stainless molding, Im going to sell the TR. Ive used every tool I have, so what tool do I need to go buy that has an angle so I can remove those in the trunk???????
 
1/4 drive 7/16 flex socket with an extension on it works pretty well. If not, $25 bucks and leave the car at my house. Right tool for the job always makes things more pleasant.
 
You didn't sell the car did you? I would be interested in hearing how this goes as another project on my someday list is to pull the rear fenders and see how it looks under there.
 
I too would love to see a photo or two showing where the rear fender bolts are located and how you get to them.

Aren't the bolt locations in the Bentley manual? I know looking at the manual is a shocking idea coming from me, but they are in there....
 
Every time I get frustrated I threaten to sell her and I'm still amazed that I still have her! Anyway as John mentioned the 1/4 drive flex socket with extension did the trick. There is very little space on about eight of the bolts and it would be even harder if everything was rusted. My TR4A has very little rust so that helped along with a shot of PB Blaster in the wheel wells. The bolts are easier to find than to remove. A couple are under the interior trim and the rest are visible in the trunk. I needed to loosen the fenders to remove the stainless trim and now I'm considering removing the fenders completely to clean up the joint areas. I really didn't want to remove the fenders but Ill probably regret it if I miss some surface rust that might bubble the paint later.
