What route does the cable take from a non-od gearbox to the gauge?

On my TR4A it curves up and under the steering column and then into the firewall. I don't think thre really is any other way to route it.

This is how the speedo & tach cables pass thru the firewall on my TR4:

Thanks guys, that's how mine is. Now how does it route on the other side of the firewall? Mine puts a lot of side load onto the back of the speedo, which makes the needle stick. If I reach under the dash while driving and pull the cable more straight then the needle releases.
