[ QUOTE ]
I tried calling Ken, but I got no answer.

Keep trying... he's probably taken the TR to a race somewhere this weekend.

I have been very pleased with the cam I had re-ground by Integeral Cams. I should think that a stage 2 would be fine for this build. It is also a good idea to get your old lifters re-faced at the same time as they are often better than what is on the market &saves $$ for other mods....
Can you tell the rest of us what you had to do to the block to install the 89mm kit and what the costs were???

In reply to what I had to do with installing of the 89mm kit. I bought this car from the wife of the original owner. She had no idea of what had been done to the car. It had been sitting in her garage for some time before I bought it. After 10 minutes of checking fluids and a freshly charged battery, the car started right up. After I bought it, I decided to do a minor restoration on it, that has turned into a body off restoration. Not knowing what condition the engine was in, I pulled it and remove the head. To my suprise, the engine had already been upgraded by the previous owner, so all I've really done with the engine is had the head checked and the crank checked and cut to allow for an upgraded rear main seal. If I had known that the engine had been previously rebuilt, I would have left well enough alone. You can see my TR3A progress (or lack of progress) at www.cardomain.com/ride/816145 There's also a TR4 for sale on the same site.
