On my tr3 split column I want to replace the felt bush before putting it all back together whats the best lubrication? Would dry graphite work?

Oil worked O.K. for me.

Actually, the workshop manual specifically warns against using oil.

I stand corrected yet again!

On the contrary, John, I think that is useful information.

I use MoS2 (aka moly) powder myself. But if I can't solve why the steering is still stiff on TS13571L, I may try using a UHMW or Delrin bush instead.
