1st post here. We're doing the body work on the TR3 and need to figure out seat belt installation. 3 point would be great but I'm not sure they will work. Anyone done this?

Can't answer your question but welcome to the forum!

Oh, I just remembered that when I disasembled my '60 3A there were seat belt mounting points already on the body, four, one on each side of the seat. I plan on putting them back. What year is your car?

Looking at my email just now and noticed that The Roadster Factory has a weekend special on seat belts. You might want to take a look at it. www.the-roadster-factory.com
Take a look at their web specials.

After you look at the photos in the links above showing how I welded in the nuts for the seat belts in the green TR3A, here is a photo of the seat belts in my own black TR3A.

When I purchased my 3 last spring, the dealer wanted to add competition belts so I could join him racing, but I did not have that in my plans, so I just went with lap belts. They are easy to hide at a show to make the car look closer to stock, and still give a slight bit of protection from ejections.

Great info guys and wow, nice and fast. I've searched around a bit and not found much on this. Your replys are much appreciated. It's hard to say what year my car is as I'm using 3 cars to make one, but I'm gonna go with '59 as that is the body and #s
