TR2/3/3A TR3 heater valve is leaking like a sieve

My TR3 heater valve is leaking like a sieve. You know the kind that looks like a house water valve. Any way to rebuild these?

I found an O-Ring that fit in mine (in lieu of the packing in there) and it has worked fine for years since.

Sorry, do not know what size but take it to Ace hardware where they have lots of little drawers of them.

This is assuming the leak is coming up and out around the stem.

Thinking back... I may have actually stacked 2 O-rings in there to get the desired effect.

. . . . . .most likely the valve stem packing (kinda like string)or a rubber seal or o-ring. Take it off and bring it to your local hardware store (local ma-pa type, not big box), they should be able to help.
