Awhile back we talked about the gas pedal cross shift rod that bolts on the firewall of a tr3. I think it was Geo that suggested the shaft came from the factory straight and that could easily be the case. But before I straighten mine out I am wondering how many straight ones are out there. Please for give me if I miss quoted you Geo.

I'm sure there are a lot of straight one's out there. Mine is not straight and I'm sure 75% of those cars that have had an engine rebuild are not straight. When installing an engine many times the flywheel will hit the the gas pedal shaft.

And the rear of the engine block will sag downwards and back when you have the gearbox out and this will force a bend into the cross shaft for the gas pedal.

Don; I think we both have been there and done that.
