TR2/3/3A TR3 Control Head Mortal Sin

While replacing the wiring harness on my 56 TR3 steering control head, I accidentally let the two center halves separate. I wonder why there is a warning about that?

With no diagrams of the internal parts, I need to know where 3 parts fit.
FWIW, my turn signals have never self-canceled.
Can you tell me where this spring, clevis and roller go?

Thanks,
Jim

Never mind, only one way it could fit.
Now that wifey is home, I have two more hands to help and someone to blame when it doesn't work!

I used these 2 documents when rebuilding my CH. I also used some lithium grease on the inner workings... especially the 'cancellator' to make sure the turn signals turn off when completed.

I am sure you have learned that it take 3 hands!

Seriously, though, you are missing 2 hinged pegs that go in the 45 degree channels. These bump the lever back to neutral to cancel a turn, and unless you found them, explains your non-cancelling.

I take my hat off to anyone that can rebuild one of these monsters and get it to work as new.
Mostly they are too worn to be reliable again. Disappointing results is the usual outcome. Perhaps
if there was a source of new blinker fluid ???
Mad dog

The control head is not that difficult to do, MD is being modest. But yeh that is after you have done a few. Anyways I could not get the files to open, so I reposted an old post.
