TR2/3/3A TR3 aluminum gas tank on eBay

A friend of mine bought one from that ebay vendor a few months ago. It was good quality and an easy bolt in replacement. Only minor issue I think he had was the tank had a little dust in it and he wound up clogging a filter initially. But that problem was quickly resolved.
 
I bought one. The way I figured it, the chance of internal rusting with a steel tank given the car is not driven all year, and given todays gas, it was well worth it.

It was <span style="font-style: italic">so</span> pretty I just couldn't bring myself to paint it, so I clear coated it. Easy install too -- fit perfectly. I'm very happy with it.

darn that's pretty. Luke, you have one shiny TR3! Could eat off the floor pans or the shop floor. That's impressive. Some are scared just to walk through my garage!!

unless you have holes in your tank I think you can get a POR gas tank sealer for around 50 buck that will seal any rust in that tank

I did mine on my TR6, I also sand blasted the interior by sticking the sand blasting hose in the taknk and just moving it around for about 15 minutes, plus the sand stays in the tank, you can vacuum it out and reuse the sand, when done vacuum the sand out and pour the sealer in, swirl around and you are done, been 3 years and no issues I think it will seal small pin holes too
