For the earlier TR3's that had the 4 holes in the cowl for the aeroscreen mount, what is used to fill the hole if the aeroscreen is not mounted? Is it just a 3/8" rubber plug? Or a special chrome nut? Or??

Thanks in advance, b

It's a special bolt. The head is chromed, taller than usual, and domed like an acorn nut.

The ones I've seen have chrome round top 5/16 fine bolt (acorn nuts on studs?). There is a captured square nut on the metal brace under the skuttle that reinforces the hinges that they screw into.

This is a picture of one of the original bolts from my car that has been re-chromed.
