Wedge TR-8 or Stag for a daily driver/commuter

If this isn't the last coupe built, there can't be but one or two more made after it. It has the wrong interior - should be solid tan cloth. It's a wery nice looking original car. They are alot more fun and reliable once you install a four barrel carb, headers and a cam.

Well "had" is correct. We do have all the issues with the Triumph V8 sorted and it IS NOW a reliable, sweet running V8, nicer in my opinion than the Rover 3.5.
I can say that because I own one of each. The 3.5 is beefed, has a 3.9 EFI running something over 230 bhp with a 5 speed and 3.45:1 diff.
 
What eye appeal do you want Frank? People are more familiar with the "Wedge" in the US, but the Stag ALWAYS turns heads.
Although I do not use my 1st Stag as a daily driver, it is used regularly, driving some 10-15 k miles a year. As soon as I finish some small mods, it will be used as my daily driver - replacing my XJ6 VDP as the wife wants that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Stags have room for 4, a removeable hard top for use in cold weather, and a better ride comfort than a TR8. The TR8 has a live axle, the Stag is all independent suspension.
So you get the best of both worlds with a Stag. Looks, comfort, handling, ride, performance, uniqueness in Triumphs - driving the car intended to be the Triumph Flagship.

Exactly why I want RHD
 
I have never had a more enjoyable daily driver than my TR8. Sure, as with all British cars, you will have to get your hands dirty, but i love to drive it, During the summer I even commute with it to and from Harrisburg for the military along a rural route less traveled. I do nto care to drive it on the turnpike, the road takes all the fun right out of driving
