Anybody know anyone who is making a nice looking manifold to put EFI on a TR-6? The one I like isn't made anymore. And I ain't spending 2k for just the manifold.
Ahhhh, once again the quest begins for the elusive Holy Grail of TR6's. Just in time for the new Indiana Jones movie to be released.
I'll bet that when he's in the underground tombs, you will see a stockpile of the original manifolds that were stolen long, long ago.....right beside the 100,000 mile thrust washers.
But pay close attention, as the tombs were all wired by Lucas and it's a little dark in there.
Well, Lucas I may be installing one of yours soon. And, in regards to the thrush washers. My opinion is, if the clutch is right, you will never wear out the washers, excess pressure due to junk clutches wears out the thrush washers. Now, that said, be very careful, the magic clutch is not without its little problems........, which could be big problems.......
Actually you can buy a MIG, a pillar drill, a tubing notcher and a power bandsaw for under $1000. $250 for a welding class and $200 in materials and you can DIY for less than the $2k mentioned.
Sell the tools afterwards and you'll be well ahead. Here's a primer...
