TR 3, TR 4 engine weight

Anyone know the weight of the Tr3, Tr4 Engine block and head?

Don't know for the full-up engine, but my old iron TR4A head weighed in at 48.5 lbs. The alloy head I replaced it with was 19 lbs.

I've got mine (TR3) apart right now. When I get them back from the machine shop, I'll try and weigh 'em.

Near 50# sounds right for the head. I was able to pick up my raw block and put it in the truck by myself. I'm going to roughly estimate it at 125#

I did not weigh mine but I can say that four of us were able to pick it up and put it in my pick up truck. now I imagine only three of us at any one time could get any purchase on the thing (maybe only two at times) . Now my engine was full of oil(and I mean full) When I had stored the parts car for indefinite storage 15 years before I poured oil in there unitl the valves were submerged. All that to say I may have had several pounds (maybe 30 or more) of oil in there. It did seam heavy at the time but no one was hurt or complained.
