I was looking at your mission statement and you cover all the Midget and B variations as well as the sedans but only the TD and not the TC? What's with that?

You gotta stop somewhere. If you include TC, then why not TB and TA? And since you're now going pre-war, why not P-Types? What about all the MMM cars? And the SVW cars? I assume Tony is mainly interested in the "modern" MGs.

Post WW II

Ah, I see where you were reading. Indeed, the TC is a post-war car. But I suppose since it was designed before the war, you could still consider it a pre-war car. The Y-Type was the first post-war design.

Ahh, maybe his mission statement need updateing a bit for design.

Could very well be.

Thanks, Jack! I needed that - as the TD gets closer to completion, I'm looking at the differences in it & a TC & wondering myself!

Always looking out for your best intrests Tony, hehe.

Would hate to think you did not have a complete set.

Hey, I've still gotta find a '66 Midget, an MGA coupe, & a Y-Type (preferrably a YB) Saloon.

"The MG Y-Type was a small saloon car built by the MG Car Company between 1947 and 1953." - Wikipedia & Bonhams.com

Saw one for sale reciently someplace for about a zillion bucks.

Yep, that was it. Oh yea, wife liked it.

No, no, no...I want the saloon:

See my second post although its probably parts for you.

Afraid you have to have both, sorry. Start building more showroom.

Or even this.

For Sale: Midget Mk II 1966, #GAN3 48305 was built in March of 1966. It is #1457 in the Midget Register (UK). I have owned the car since 1978 and it has traveled less than 10K miles. It is currently a restoration project and has lived in a dry garage since 1981. It is basically in good condition and is near the respray stage. It also needs front wings, bonnet, and the front panel assembly. I was always hoping to find a fiberglass front end instead of the original metal. This need for a front end is due to a pick-up truck trying to run the car over on a rainy day in 1992. I will never finish the restoration. This is your opportunity. Car plus many spares including new interior kit. $2,000 or best offer. PING - thanks, that 2nd one has potential - I've contacted the seller.

Wish I had the time or the space. Please keep me posted. You don't come around them that often. I almost bid on one in Fla. about 6 years. ago. It was about $1100. Not many built if I recall. Hindsight is 20/20.

Ping - that Midget's a sad little thing

But you know I kind of like the front end. Think it belongs on a Bugeye.
