Bugattis are old - but fragile? In the UK, VSCC and BOC members still trial, race and hillclimb them at high speed. They have known weaknesses, and fixes, and are expensive. But fragility isn't a trait normally aimed at Bugs.

Evidently its common enough that the restoration shop has an incedible welder on standby, that does such an outstanding job, that when the block is repaired you can't tell where the reapir is. If the owner happens to pick up enough of the pieces that is. Otherwise, they have to make a new block. That's a price tag I can do without seeing.
