Timing Cover Seal

Easy on for you guys.

Install timing cover seal with spring and thicker(smaller diameter) rubber ring facing inward toward crank gear? That is the orientation of the seal I removed. Will to difficult to remove next time, as that puts the thin metal band inward so there is nothing against which to press to hammer out your seal. Just wanted to be sure. Thanks
Pat

Install this side facing inward toward crank?

Install this facing outward, pressed into cover?

The spring ring always goes on the inside facing the oil.

Do NOT forget the oil slinger when you put this back together.
