Throttle return springs...

I couldn't help it, I just had to go in there.
Timing is way off, when the notches are lined up, rotor is at # 2 on the dizzy. Dizzy never came out so I don't know how that got outta whack.
Nap time.

Oh my, ehehheheheh. Thought you said the timeing was OK.

Hay Doc, guess who is Susan now?

Bet it even runs.

"ROTATE!"

"GEAR UP AND LOCKED!"

Yeah, and I apologized to the SUs, for 'roughing them up' a bit /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif and accusing them of desertion. Just need to twidle around with this distributor thingy and Pegasus will fly again. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, maybe, just look around closely for leaks or oil spillage when you filled it. Allso remember you may be burning some cleaning solutions, ect. off the exaust, etc. If it continues to leak, smoke, then keep looking.

Hoho, Berry has a live one. Grats Berry.

Wooaaaahhh,
Think I found it and it aint good.
The fan is getting stuck on the bottom lip of the radiator and there's (naturally) a bit of oil on the fanbelt.
I'll get busy on securing that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/hammer.gif radiator, then get back to it.
It Started! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Not the radiator, but a skewed fan blade (singular) that's whipping around blindly.
Straightened it........
Battery died! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

But, but, in any case you are really moveing on now.

Progress, I see! You're catching all sorts of issues, think of how happy your Midget will be once it's all sorted out.

And how happy you'll be as well. Keep up the good work, we're all pulling for you! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Pushing more like it Drew, lol.

I want to hear he took a ride today.

It ran again Jack, started right up no messing, sounded a little rough as can be expected, but sounded better than I thought it would; some more precise timing and a turn of a screw on those carbies, she's a winner.
It made me think of what Kiri Te Kanawa would sound like after a pack of Camels, you know there's a beautiful song in there, she just needs a good cough.
Doc was right, I should not have used that radiator.

That is such a weight of my mind, I can get on with school work now. At least until the BGT arrives.

Thanks all, I think this has proven that BCF really is a virtual garage, with no outside help (except for the machine shop grinding valves), a complete newbie in the automotive world (me), and you chaps in here, got a great result.

Okay, here's the HS2's linkage on a sprite. Looks like the MGB setup, works fine too:
