This isn't possible

Keith - I'm beginning to blame my old Air Force math instructor. Always seemed there was something strange about the guy ...

But it has to be true - it's on the internet!

'And "perpetual" implies infinite time. Ain't happenin'. Entropy wins. Though there are some elegant machines out there. And some elegant cheats as well.'

One of my favorite cheats and elegant machines all rolled into one is the ATMOS clock. Amazing machines, and they do seem a little like perpetual motion, just won't work in space.

hmmm - doesn't that apply to advice on BCF? :jester:
Prezactly!

I was going to say it's worth everything it costs, but since some folks do help pay for BCF I guess that isn't strictly true.

Not quite perpetual motion (and not a cheat), but still very cool :

One of those clocks showed up on Pawn Stars a while back. It gets the energy it needs to run from temperature and atmospheric pressure changes. Once they are set up and running, they don't like to be touched, so you better put it in a place where it won't ever be moved...even for dusting.

I had a car like that once! If the barometric pressure was up, it would run, if it was down, it wouldn't! PJ
