Our house was built in 1940. So far as I can tell, the front door is original. In the last 48 hours it has started scraping on the threshold. Couldn't figure out why - today SWMBO & I took a very close look and realized the hinges themselves have cracked! Imagine, 77 years old! (off to the basement to see where it was purchased to get a refund!)

That's funny JP. My dad bought a new Chevy pickup in 1955, after about 15 years of trouble free service, a plug wire went bad and the engine was missing a beat one morning, my dad came into the house and told mom he was taking the truck back where he got it and ask for a refund. It was a joke of course, but kinda stuck all these years. PJ

The store will ask for your 50,000 openings service records if you want them replaced under warranty.

Dang, you're right. Off to find the openings service records.
