There's a certain indescribable feeling

That comes when you take a nasty, dirty, muddy greasy project.
Take it apart, strip it down, clean and label each and every part.
Strip the paint, media blast, repair and replace when necessary,
Repaint, replate, refinish - even use different finishes, flat here, gloss there - just to make it more interesting.
Then to rebuild - assembly is the reverse of disassembly
Sometimes it takes time - it can be intimidating reconstructing history
Sometimes, like tonight, it takes a clever solution to a vexing problem.
And then all of a sudden it is done

clean, fresh, pristine.

There's a certain indescribable feeling
when the metal has come together, and come alive,
when the pieces are whole again
and you lean back with a contented sigh
look over your project and think to yourself

I've put it on upside down.

and that's all I'm going to say about that.

Have you cleaned your coffee pot again? :friendly_wink:

He may not have, but I have to clean the coffee out of my keyboard!

Priceless, J-P!

Drive it to Australia and all will be right.

Excellent JP! ...of course I've never done anything like that...

Amen to that!

C'mon J-P. You know the rule. No pics - it didn't happen. Or maybe you'd prefer to keep it that way.

You know that if he posted a picture...

...it'd be upside down!

Story of my life JP
Don't we all have the t shirt?

With a little tweakin' that'd be a right good poem.

You are exactly right - without pictures - it didn't happen.

Won't touch this one. Too terrible familiar even when you are supposed to be able to do it bindfolded. Look at it as half done, redo tomorrow. It's Friday night Basil, get a beer!! :very_drunk:

And, done, properly this time (I hope) need to confirm one bit regarding a bushing but I think it is correct. and, amazingly, it fits together much better the proper way - who knew?!
