Anybody know who was doing the conversion and how they progressed with it? I think someone posted on this site about this project.

I was wondering about that myself a few weeks ago.

Maybe the member has fallen off the edge of the earth.

I am building a TR3 on a TR4 frame, but I think I saw another one out there somewhere.

Frame is complete, roll cage is complete, most major rust repair (inner sills, floors, B posts, rear tub suports, front inner fender are all complete. My goal is to have this thing running by the end of the year.

Since I started the project in 2004, my wife and I have been blessed with 2 kids. Needless to say my 1 year schedule slipped.

Last weekend I test fit the body to the tub to make sure I had all the monting points for my cage properly aligned. With the stock wire wheels, the tires are standing proud of the fenders by about 3/4". I think I will resolve this by ordering a slight offset on my alloys in conjuction with a slight roll on the fender lip. Next time I test fit the body, I'll post some more pics.

these are some older pics of cage in progress:

Gee, let's mutilate two classics...why not just find a well worn 3B...I understand there were many left on the showroom floor the first time this idea came up.
