Ahh, not as good as John's work, but works. With chrome wheels, fat freddies & blackwalls. Not right. I do love the wide whites, but the chrome has to go.
It's a Dupont color, I forget what the number is, because we fiddled and tweaked the color a few times. Just 'greay.'

Thanks John, those pictures help immensely. Gawd I love the whitewalls (sorta shouts sixties to me)

The link shows a stunning iris (I think) blue '63 B with chrome spokes, wide whites and a medium blue interior...stunning of course because it was new at the time.
The wide whitewalls look fantastic!
Not sure why you're so against chrome wires.
From where I'm looking they look just as 'right' as the painted ones.
The chrome wires would tie in with the rest of the chrome on the car, the painted wires would tie in more with that beautiful gray.
Either way, the wide whitewalls are keepers! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
It's gonna be a looker.
Oh yea! gangsta' whites on painted wires. verrry nice!
How about painting the wheels the same color as the car? I've seen that done (I'm almost thinking it was an option for a while. I know it was for Triumph)
It really makes the knock-offs pop out.
~hehehehehe I love throwing monkey wrenches~
"if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!"
The white on MG tires wasn't quite that wide...I've an original set of whitewalls that've never seen the road - in the old original size....& they're beautiful on an MG!
