The Most Incredible Car Day!

@R6MGS

In Canada, anything older than 15 years (from abroad) can be brought in and put on the road, of course subject to whatever provincial regulations there are in place, so... that would be anything older than 1992 as of this year

In the United States it is the same basic idea but older than 25 years, so 1982 or older for them

That's why there are so many of the Rover-shell Mini's in Canada (ie. the 1980's variety), here in western Canada there are piles of pre-1992 Japanese vehicles being brought over to Canada... Toyota Land Cruisers, lots of the mini vans, plus the Nissan Skyline, or whatever else catches one's fancy

Yes. You didn't see it in the gallery? It's on page 2.

One billion points to whoever can identify the car in photo 329. I had a little point and shoot and it wouldn't save the previous photo fast enough to get that one. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Image 329? That's definitely a Corvette. You can deposit those billion points directly into my Paypal account.

And that is a Smart Car roadster, which they do make for European sale
[/QUOTE]

Actually that is a "Smart Crossblade". The Roadster looks is totally different

Wow..it's hard to believe anyone would paint a Bugatti Type 35/51 *that* color yellow.

I think that's a 365 GTB/4 (#337) and I'm guessing that the red convert (#340) is a California Spider (Ferris Beuller car).

Nice old Volvo Amazon.

A "Traction Avant" (#310.....I saw one here in NJ this summer with a 350 small-block in it!)

And a nice (white) ALFA 1750 GTV.

The silver Shelby is a Series One.

The silver Ferrari (#347) is a 250GT. "Almost" a Lusso. When I was in college, I actually helped my old boss cut up two 250GTs so we could make a "racer special"...arggghhh! (we actually ran it at Lime Rock around '71 or so).

I looked around for a while to figure out that "special" (#329). Not an Allard or a Kurtis I don't think. Also not a Kellison or a Glasspar. Maybe a "Baldwin". Whatever it is, it looks like it has a Ford Flattie for power.....three exhausts plus a balance pipe going forward. In the end, it's probably one of the many neat "specials" built in SoCal in the late 40s.

And I must say, some very nice Brit cars in that mix!

Dang it Greg, ya beat me to it, I could have used the billion!

I've seen both Vectors at Crystal Cove before and talked to the designer, they are not that impressive up close.

I have yet to see the Figaro here ( seen them while in Japan of course), very cool.
My friend has a Suzuki Cappuccino here in LA

here is a snap of it with my Lotus

NO WAY! Did they really? Please tell me you got a photo! Nothing bruises an ego the size of a Vector owner more than public humiliation by means of automotive stupidity. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif
