In Canada, anything older than 15 years (from abroad) can be brought in and put on the road, of course subject to whatever provincial regulations there are in place, so... that would be anything older than 1992 as of this year
In the United States it is the same basic idea but older than 25 years, so 1982 or older for them
That's why there are so many of the Rover-shell Mini's in Canada (ie. the 1980's variety), here in western Canada there are piles of pre-1992 Japanese vehicles being brought over to Canada... Toyota Land Cruisers, lots of the mini vans, plus the Nissan Skyline, or whatever else catches one's fancy
