Gday all, our 66B is difficult to start first start of the day(10/12 attempts), but after it has started it will start first time every time.If you have a routine that you use to get me past this please advise me. Thanks Bob

Your choke isn't working/adjusted correctly. How far do the jets travel downward when the cable is pulled?

I would just bet that he has a leak down on the float bowls. If the pump is not working correctly it takes a bit of time to fill them as well.

Check for gas leaks overnite from the bottoms of the carbs. Let your elec fuel pump (I assume) run a bit before trying to start the car. Fill those bowls.

Gday Jack,I see your train of thought ,I will check on that before the next start. Bob

5mm is barely off the seats. They ~should~ go easily 20mm at least!

Somethin's either out of adjustment, bound or gummed up.

My train of thought also Doc. If the bowls leaked down a bit, I would think the pump would have them full long before 10 or 12 tries, but one never knows. That's what I love about these cars, they keep you guessing and on your toes!

Thanks for the replies I'll let you know any results. Bob
