Dale, are you not using the heater in your car? The reason I ask is you
have a big hex head plug where there's normally a tap for a
smaller diameter water hose, (to the pipe thru the intake manifold).
Your hex head is shown in the pix, opposite of the temp sender....
Just wonderin'.....
 
The video was not what I was expecting. But the painted parts for sure.

Ding! Round, and fight over! -Don't think it will be the last. Be prepared for next round. (And I don't mean stock up on paint.)

Congradulations. Nothing can stop you now.

Was up north at the cottage fishing all weekend. Went down to about 35F on Saturday night. No moose in my yard yet, but hang in there, never know when somethin' good is gonna happen.

The blower motor failed and instead of purchasing
a new one, DPO Pedro had his junkyard mechanic
strip out ALL the plumbing except top and bottom
radiator hoses. Even the fresh air vents were removed.
Everything is plugged where plumbing once was.

That stupidity actually made my entire car rewire a
bit easier behind the dash.

It might be a thing to do on a deluge rain afternoon.
For sure, no beach time tomorrow in San Juan.

It falls into the same category as the rocker arm assembly. You don't need to worry about carrying a spare.

Take a peek at my picture. Do I look like I qualify for any "starved American" status??? Heck, if I didn't have the blue BCF shirt on I could get mistaken for a moose.

Nice chrome bumpers but your wiper motor needs refurbished.
Eat more brussel sprouts and less french fries.

Have more break downs and walk home. The walks will shed
those ponds in no time!! I've shed 42 pounds since I've
owned the Crypt Car. Plus my hair turned all grey.

My wiper motor IS refurbished.

I HATE Brussel Sprouts, or whatever those green mini cabbages are. They should be sent to France and we'll take the fries over.

French fries are not on my list, but I just love Italian and bread. No kidding!! I have the proof. See pic above.

I'll be dead a lot longer than I'll be alive so, whatever I want to eat, I eat and how ever much hair I lose, doesn't bother me.
 
A timing chain?... You know, first a wheel falls off, then the brakes fail, then water leaks out of the engine... the chain of events that is perfectly timed.

I'm glad it's not me parked next to Paul. It would only make my car look worse. -no matter from how far away.

You almost hit a moose, I almost hit a black bear.
It's always good to know that when the black flies are gone, you have huge horse flies, deer flies, some other little meat eating flies that I always make war on and oh, I forgot, mosquitos.
It seems that if it can land on you, it bites.
If you jump in the water, there are northern pike, dogfish and 40+ lb. snapping turtles.
It makes me wonder why I enjoy vacationing there.
 
Bear! When the PA link of I-80 had JUST been opened (fall, 1969, IIRC) I took it in lieu of the Pennsy Pike to Philly on a whim, startin' out at about 7PM from approximately where BeaveRun race course now sits. Was in mid-state late at night when the MGB started stutterin'... I hadn't checked the points. Pulled over to the side (there was NO traffic back then), with flashlight in-hand. Bonnet up, dizzy cap off, "matchbook" set 'em and sealed 'er up. Suddenly heard a LOT of thrutchin' around in the "woods" directly abeam. Turned on the flashlight, pointed it at the source of the ruckus... There stood a large bemused bear not ten yards away. I may have set a "LeMans Start" record. Didn't stop again 'til I saw a LOT of lights and buildings at the eastern end.
May have needed a change of boxers, too. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

Ben, Gabriel and Dale spent most of the morning
going over the details of Ben's confrontation with
Crypt Car tomorrow. Wendy chose to be in the dentist's
chair all morning.(bummer for Wendy)

A fine lunch at local panaderia La Castilla; poor Wendy
could only manage soup and a tall glass of red wine.

Ben has decided to mount a sneak amphibious assault
upon the Crypt Car during early afternoon. Crypty is
usually snoozing in the afternoon sun and will not be
expecting tools.

A morning trip to the Camuy caverns is planned prior
to the actual toe to toe battle.

Ben made a few attack approach runs today in the red Mako.

What fun... A grand tour of the bay, a short excursion into the Atlantic ocean, and a trolling run up "the channels" getting to see the sights of San Juan I bet VERY few touristos ever get.
Even a stratigy session while en-route. hehehehehe.
Soakin up the sun.
Then it was a stop in a the Bacardi Distillery for a really neat tour and a tasting session! mmmmmmmm."hic"
 
You guys take your time planning. Eisenhower took well over a year to plan D day, so get good and ready, because that evil incarnation of the devil ain't done fighting yet.

And just remember what I learned long, long ago camping with my Boy Scout troop in the PA mountains (full of rattlers and copper heads). A snake is most dangerous when you think that it's sleeping or sunning itself. It felt you coming 10 minutes before you got there and knows exactly where you are standing.

That red snake is very clever and may try to lull you into thinking that it's not aware, but it knows.....believe me it knows....
