The Audi "brand"...

 Ouch!!!

Re: The Audi "brand"...

first deployed air bag I ever saw had a pair of lipstick lips perfectly positioned in the centre.

Re: The Audi "brand"...

On the serious side, it takes a lot of pressure to make a mark like that! Had to be quite an impact. Just think if the air bag wasn't there. :eeek: PJ

Re: The Audi "brand"...

What I don't get (and I'm always suspicious of photos on the web), is that I thought the steering cover instantly flipped up and out of the way, and the bag hits the chest (and not the cover), but maybe that's for passenger side ones. Yes, quite an impact.

The driver most likely had his arm crossed over the wheel at the time of impact.

yup - did that once, no logo but a really good abrasion

Re: The Audi "brand"...

Both of my hands at the base of the thumbs were bruised by the air bag cover when it when off in the Mazda6. The air bags themselves never hit me or my wife in the passenger seat...that's seat belts doing there job.

From the article..."Could be worse, though -- at least he's not walking around with a Yugo insignia lighting up his arm."

Did the writer of this article ever stop to think about whether or not a Yugo airbag would have worked??
