Suggestions for bugeye headlights

If I were to switch to tripod headlights and use the 35 watt bulbs, would this fix my problem of the battery running down? I can't see anywhere on my headlights, but aren't sealed bulbs normally around 55 watts?

I've seen some new LED headlights (mostly in hot rods). Some are the "halo" type as seen below.

I have no idea if they use less current, but LEDs generally use less. It might be worth investigating.
