SU throttle shaft and bush dilemma - advice?

Hap&Alec-The "last bullet in the gun" comment referred to once the opening into the venturi of the carb is enlarged to accomendate the .010" o/s throttle shaft, and the opening becomes worn in the distant future, a larger oversize throttle shaft would be required. Probably not in our lifetime.
I was not advocating buying the OS reamer from Moss, just pointing out the source&cost. Not cost effective unless you are doing many carbs.
I will continue using a piloted counterbore (about $20)chucked in a lathe and a center in the tailstock to support. Bore each side .050"-.100" from breaking through and the counterbore leaves a nice square shoulder for the bushing.
I am ready to retire from this discussion.

Thanks guys. Not a problem here. I took the purchase of the reamer the way it was intended. Yep, we are done and dusted on this topic.
Hope to chat again on future topics.
cheers :thankyousign:
