SU Mix Adjust Memory Refresh

Yup. From the underside a clockwise turn is leaning the mix (by raising the jet).

Afterwards, I always push up on the jet a little, just to be sure it's still in contact with the nut.
 
Come to think of it I've heard that mentioned before but forgot to push up on the jet.....what could happen if you neglected to do that?

Sometimes the jet can be "grandfather'd in" by gunk. Pushing it up just insures the spring has had enough oompf to overcome any stuck condition.
 
Otherwise, you turn the nut a flat or two, which isn't enough, then you go another flat or two, still not enough, then some more ... by the time I realize that the jet isn't moving I've forgotten where I started.
