yes-three coats of spray to both surfaces and let dry about 5 minutes in between them. The directions say you can wait up to 60 minutes. For some pieces the edges only were sprayed-pull them tight and work out the wrinkles, then apply downward pressure to make the bond.
Practice on a piece of remnant to a metal surface if you would feel more comfortable. It will also bond to the underpadding. The spray comes out of the can well-not like an areosol(sp)but you may want to mask off those areas not to be glued.
