Still married to your first wife? How many years?

My congratulations to all you ladies and gents! My pop, an old farmer, told me before the wife and I were married, (Quote)" Remember boy, life is a two way street! It's a give and take situation on both parts, otherwise it'll be a very rough row to hoe." (unquote). My folks were married 61 years before he passed. Needless to say, I took his advice. PJ

I will say, she could do no wrong in his eyes. In fact I think he was more concerned with her welfare than mine! :jester:

I was married for 24 years and the last 5 were bad, very unhappy times. After we divorced I was sort of dazed and confused for a few years, but now I am a very happy guy again.

Welcome to the party, Dave!

Just saw Lisa Swayze on Fox and Friends this morning speaking about her life with Patrick. It was one of those rare Hollywood marriages that actually lasted, although Lisa admitted they had their share of rough patches. In the end they were as close as ever, having meet as teens when she was a student at Patrick's mother's dance studio. They married the same year as Mary and I, in 1975.

My first marriage lasted nine years.

I was then single for nine years.

In a week, Jean and I will have been married for nineteen years.

He races some funky motor bike with a CZ in it

I'm still married to my first wife...please don't tell my 2nd wife!

Married 10-07-95. Our first date was March 3,1991. This is why I remember: https://www.wbuf.noaa.gov/rocice.htm
Hard to forget an event like that! Of course it is over shadowed by the MORE monumental event of our first date!

Where I lived we didn't get power back for 11 days. Where she lived they had power back within 6 hours. The power lines in her area were all underground. Since we'd only met the day before, we didn't really know each other. I didn't get invited to stay at her place for those eleven days!
