Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

Trailer loaded and bags packed! Heading out whenever I wake up tomorrow morning (Tuesday) with an ETA in LOTO of Wednesday, mid afternoon...give or take half a day. Will find a hotel tomorrow evening when I get tired and hungry.

See ya there...

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

Interior is finished...seats are in...steering wheel on...hood in place & body man is coming by tomorrow to help me align it.

Trailer is repainted & hooked to truck but for some reason the winch only works in 'out' mode - it only clicks in 'in'....except every now & then it'll catch & pull the line for a few inches....gotta check the wiring tomorrow.....I'll load her & park in the garage overnight.

Plan is to pull out at 6am Wednesday & meet friend who's gonna convoy with us along the way...figure 10 or 12 hours to the lake.

Tell 'em we're coming, Jack!

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

And don't forget our little "get together",meeting at 5.30pm on Thursday beside Ms Agatha.

I hope to arrive on Wednesday evening. Assuming the Midget gets us there without a hitch.

Stuart.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

We head out at 6am Tuesday, first stop somewhere near Pittsburgh to drop off a hard top.
We hope to make Indianapolis before we stop for the night.
A mere 725 miles or 12 hour drive in a Sprite at 75 mph.
So with pit stops, We should see Indy around 9 pm.

This leaves a 420 mile drive on Wednesday or 8 hours with stops so the whole gang of us should be there at Beer Thirty!

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

OK, another question. I got one of them magellan GPS things that may brother gave me. I cannot find Inn on the grand glaize in its locations, but I can find Ramada Inn in Osage Beach, MO. Is that Ramada Inn Close to the Inn on the grand glaize? I am hoping I can find it from there. Don't want to be doing too many U turns.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

Kim, do a search for 'Inn AT Grande Glaize', my garmin found it. Failing that, it's just about a mile south west of Bagnell Dam on Route 54.
One more thing guys.....
I'm going to one of the last to leave, so I wish you all safe travels, and I'm looking forward to meeting you all and doing some bench racing.
Be safe.

Re: Caravaning to Spridget 50th?

OK, trailer attached back to the truck and lines up for exiting the driveway at 0400. Cover on the car for the night to keep crap off it until the morn and then I will take it off. Probably won't sleep much tonight. Gonna get the wife to help cronicle the trip for you guys that are not making the trip. My cell is on so call me any time for an update. Many firsts for me this trip. I wish i could win the lottery and then I would send a car hauler around.
