Tomorrow is the first of June (wedding anniversary) and I am also thinking only 25 days till the big meet up in MO. I was just thinking. I don't know how many people will be there and I am sure I will not recognize many of the BCF people when I get there. It would be nice for everyone who is going to show a picture of their car and of themselves so that we might spot each other more easily in the crowd. Also maybe we could get a list of cell phone numbers and PM them to each other so it someone has not made it in near their arrival time we might check on them or go after them if they are not too far away. I will be hauling mine and will be traveling with lots of breakdown parts and tools and I am fairly good at roadside troubleshooting and repairs. I don't know if anyone else is going my route, but it would be nice to travel as a group. if anyone is driving their spridget and had trouble, I could unload mine and haul theirs if need be.

Yeah,....Send your e-mail to the address listed on the page and they'll get it posted for all to see...I sure hope that list gets bigger. It was started about 3 months ago, and what do have, FOUR people...? We can do better.

that's what the schedule shows.. car show from 08:00 till Noon. ..some people don't even plan on being there till the afternoon of the 26th though.... Looks like it's gonna be like herding cats. Hats off to those willing to make the attempt at organizing this whole thing!

I was thinking that is a bit early to get the public out to a car show, but we will make it if we can. I am sure the car is gonna be dirty when I get in and there probably won't be time to unload and wash before dark. Just thinking.

Car show is 26th starting at 08:00 followed by a funkana at 1:00.

I just noted that Miss Agatha is scheduled to be in the Lobby of the Hotel at 5:30. Sounds like a lot of cleaning for me. We'll see. For those that I have not met from the board here I guess that is the place.

I'm not complaining, but why put the car show on Weds. morning? Was it to try and get people there earlier and thus have more participants for other events? Or because people might not want to detail their cars after doing drives?

I'm not especially interested in showing my car (for obvious reasons), but I certainly do not want to miss the opportunity to see everyone else's car up close.

mine is NOT a SHOW car, but that doesn't stop me from putting it in the shows! there's room in the hobby for EVERYONE..somebody wants to drop a 427 hemi in a Sprite, cool. Its their car, and I want to see it.. Somebody has a rock-stock car, cool. I want to see it. Somebody has a project that they can get to the show, cool. I want to see it.

No clue as to why the schedule is the way it is. However, I would guess so that folks could show clean cars then enjoy them the rest of the time, shrug.

Funkana. Can you stop your left front tire on a Quarter. Can you pop baloons on the ground with your left front. Can you drive through a twistie course with a blindfold takeing directions from your passanger.

Stuff like that. No clue as to what will be used but it will be just fun, no speed, and suitable for trailer queens even.

Well, I just got off the phone with the hotel to change my reservation...had no idea the show would be on Thursday...guess I should have looked at the schedule more closely! 8 AM???...dang...I'm retired...I have to go out and buy and alarm clock :smile:

So, looks like I'll be rolling in on Wednesday afternoon. I'm so looking forward to meeting a good number of you face-to-face.

BTW...someone mentioned posting a photo of the car that would be attending...mine is in my avatar...white '73 Midget, black interior.

Jack, that little line in the schedule should at least be in bold letters!! Nobody schedules a car show on a Thursday! & nobody expects it!

I've changed my reservastions to arrive on the 25th...you other guys better check & change also.

I don't know if I will make the show. I don't know when I will be getting in and I don't know when I will be getting up. Depends on what the wife will go along with. I am new to all of this.

My Avatar is my car as well... the only square body Sprite I've seen with a BLACK grill, recessed.

Hmm, mine may be obscured in the red Midget ocean, but I chopped off the end silencer on my exhaust, so you'll hear me before you see me.
RWA, No bumpers, Driving lamps.
I'll have a BCF window sticker on my windshield next to a UIS parking pass.
Wearing either a White MG football shirt or a Yellow MG football shirt.

It's just occured to me, with the extra day = more stuff, I might have to use my luggage rack.

I need to change my picture, My midget is yellow. It has the original first rostyle wheels like in my avatar. I have not seen that many of them in pictures of sprites/midgets, Plus the white letter tires too.

I do not know what they have planned for us in the way of name tags, but we may want to write "BCF: username" if different from our actual name.
