Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportunity!

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

I'd wager anyone there by 6:15am rally morning could pay their $25 and get in.

Team Docmitts?

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

No can do this time, kiddo. Daunting distance and logistics.

...but be watchin' fer a red Lotus of some sort onna next go...

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

JB - Milkman, and 3 in May.
DOC - yeah. That sounds like a plan!

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

Doc. I doubledog dare you. That would ROCK. Lotus? Lotus??? Well. It *IS* British.
/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I would love for you and 'mitts to do the run. That would rock! We'll get Barry and his missus, maybe old Mr. Barnhill could muster enough energy drive the 6 hours here, Mickey's only like 7 hours away. We could have heckaparty!

Wait. Daunting distance? The time it would take to drive here would be half the time you'd be driving the rally. Might I suggest, if you seriously consider this next year, come up EARLY in the week, say leave FL Tuesday or Wed. Have a day or two just to rest up and relax before The Misery!

Now I'm excited for next year!

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

If Doc can drive from Florida, no excuse why Banjo heck, even Basil...

What the heck! We'll have a BCF Reunion Endurance Rally.

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

You got a navigator - DARN.I was just getting
ready to puchase a plane ticket,& grab a couple
of sacks of money that we keep laying around here.
And if you believe that,I'll sell you the Golden-
- Gate Bridge cheap.
Seriously,I'd love to something like that.
BAZ - Milkman.... finally got it!

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

My point... a silly-secret clandestine run on th' event.

And yeah, we'd PLAN to be there in enuff time to have a well rested 'team' effort.

I ain't runnin' 12~14 hours to enter a 12 hour event and have a return trip the next day! But with a bit of forethought, wellllll..... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Quote:]maybe old Mr. Barnhill could muster enough energy drive the 6 hours here[/QUOTE]

7 hrs 45 min - at interstate speed!

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

I can make Athens in 5 1/2 hours with a gas stop. How far are you from there?

Doug>>> There are 3 endurance rallys in the midwest each year that make up the Triple Crown. The Misery (MER), Grand Lakes Tour (rallymaster Rick Ingram) and the Abingdon Trials. I have never heard of any other clubs putting them on. Which is sad. It's such a great event. I'll take lots of pictures, post our checkpoints etc. It's like the Virtual Rally. Shame there isn't more interest in these.

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

I've thought about the Michigan Endurance Rally,
since I was in Michigan a few years back.
My Wife & I wil;l be going through Missouri on our
way to Florida in September,so maybe we'll get to see
at least part of the roads that the rally runs on.

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

The Abingdon rally is in October, first or 2nd weekend.

OUR car show is in September, 3rd weekend...

And if you let me know when you're heading this way, and what route you'll take, I'll be sure to email (or post) you some alternate routes if you'd like some scenery over interstate!

Re: Step right up...a once in a lifetime opportun

I may even take time out of my extremely busy schedule to meet ya somewhere for coffee or a bite to eat...

Maybe.

Or, you could drive your LBC, plan it correctly and come to our car show...

Special packet with the directions would be great thank you!

And I don't get to go pre-rallye debauching??? I can debauch with the best of 'em. In fact, I believe I'll find you guys, get Team Fugarwee all likkered up and hung over before check in.

Janel...

Oh...I can arrange a VERY special packet of instructions for you for the GLT!

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/whistle.gif

Get it right...it's TwoRickRacin' - A Division of Team Fokowie....and remember that we're not novices when it comes to pre-rallye debauchery...could all be part of the game plan, you know?! Gives the other teams a false sense of overwhelming superiority. You, of course, are more than invited to join us at the S.U.M. in East St.Louis where we gather to collect our thoughts and wait for the St.Louis five o'clock rush hour to subside.
