Yes, I heated the box up several times with a torch, but that did not help either.

One more question, should the box be gloss or semi-gloss black?

IMHO nothing original like that is gloss black. Eastwood sells a satin chassis black. However if you want to jazz it up a bit, why not gloss black?

Im not a fan of Eastwood paints or products. They fail to deliver in my opinion, but I do appreciate the reply and suggestion! Ill probably paint it with some reduced epoxy for a durable semi gloss finish. Just wanted to check first and see if anybody knew of the correct finish! Currently the entire thing is painted gloss, or was, but somebody had been in the box previously, so it was not original.
