.....Don't forget, these ads are designed to catch the attention of people watching football and who are no doubt waiting for something interesting to come on TV to break up the boredom.....

LOL

I agree 100%!

Shall I bring the chips or drinks?

Saw this on my favorite morning News show this morning.

...and that is why they make these commercials. They were supposedly made for a football game that charges megabucks to air, yet they're getting free time on the internet and on news shows before the game is even on.

Good for them!

I can't even scare up a golf game

a little distant or I'd be there in a heartbeat. Still remember my first Superbowl living in Florida (we'd been there three weeks)- my son & I went to a movie. We were literally the only two in the theatre.

I don't know many people that watch football, never mind the super bowl. At 'home' in Virginia it was a big deal but here it's rarely mentioned around the people I know.

I typically don't care what others are doing anyway so, regardless, to me it's a mindless waste of time. Except for the ads, thank goodness to Youtube for that

This is an online poll (unscientific of course, blah blah blah) from our local newspaper yesterday. Seems about right for here:

It's a large minority.
Count me as a member of that club. No super bowl for me; it's a waste of my time.
