Ok...so it's not a British Car, but it was way cool. I was down in Ft. Lauderdale / Boca Raton this past weekend for my niece's Bat Mitzvah when I was driving along and spotted this in a mall parking lot:

I looked and said "Holy Moley, Batman...it's the Batmobile!" Of course, I HAD to haul the rental car around and get a closer look:

I suppose even Batman is sick of winter and bugged out of Gotham City for the warmth of Florida.
I came up to the owner and said "You don't get to see one of these every day". To which he responded "I do". Touche!
It is a rather well-done replica, built up from a Lincoln chassis with a big block Ford V-8 underhood. He purchased it a couple of years ago in California and brought it back to Florida. You don't realize just how big the Batmobile is until you stand in front of it. It is well over 19 feet long...more than seven feet longer than my Sprite!
It was a bit disappointing that I didn't see a single LBC on the road during my stay. I kind of figured South Florida would be a great place to have one with the weather, but the flat monotonous roads kind of kill the best attribute of these cars, and the humidity eats away at paint as much as salt does up north.
