Spot the mistake...

For those of you with a copy of Terry Horlers "Original Sprite and Midget", look at page 81 for a great engine bay shot of a RHD car.
No, I didn't look at until just now! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Umm, all I saw was the heater on wrong. Well spotted Jeff, great minds and all that!
Still, with all that other stuff noted I can't help but sit here feeling like a dumbass...

Today at 15:49, Mike.

Is there a way to tell the difference between a 948cc and a 1098cc?
There are some subtle clues, but the biggest and most obvious way is to look at the tag on the right front side of the block. If it's a 948, the tag will read "950". /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
If you mean from this engine bay photo, no, not really, as the 1098 oil separator can be fitted to a 948, which only had a draft tube on it.

ahh i guess i miss that. I hardly Would call that A Mistake. I was hoping for something like he had a Picture of a left hand Drive Engine Bay. for a right hand drive car or something.

I don't see a heat shield behind the carbs. I sure don't like how the fuel line between the carbs appears to be touching the exhaust manifold. What is the orange device mounted on the passenger side inner wing?

Blower motor wrong--pulling hot air that blows by rediator

Orange thing--front right, starter solenoid>

Wrong Brake Master?? (I thought the 66s had ones similar to the photo above)

Plug Wires? Hard to tell

No voltage regulator, maybe has an alternator conversion

Alternator for sure. Ya can see it.

I get the impression we are flogging a dead horse here!!!!

yup
