Spirited midget ride today.

I got some things done and got bored and ended up fooling with the idle jets in the DGV on the midget. It had a small stutter going from idle to easing open the throttle. I drilled out the primary idle jet and then adjusted it all in and the stutter is all gone now. I took it down some winding roads and opened it up a bit and it was a blast. Ran it up to 80mph on the interstate and it did really well. I will wait until tomorrow to check the water and see if it is low or whatever. It was 36 degrees outside so overheating was not a problem. This was of course a top up ride. Nice to have heat. My other play toy is a motorcycle and I took a ride on it but it was not very long. Oh, and a word to the wise, check your tire pressures for winter. My midget was too wiggly and I need to air up the tires more.

Kim, you wimp, Bugsy got a ride to the hardware store today, top down and tonneau on but about 38-40 degrees. Not an issue, he's toasty and warm with windblocker in place. Temps any lower and it would be time to put up the windows but for now on a sunny day I was just fine. Bugsy was extremely happy to be out and about. Started up fine and within a mile I was down to using zero choke. Life is good now that he got carbs tuned and balanced and issue with points /condenser are fixed. Forecast says cold and snow this week so this may have been my last ride for a while.

I'm envious of both of you - though, had it not been the family Christmas, it was certainly bright enough - about 35 here though.

If it makes you feel better I went for a motorcycle ride later for about 80 miles and it was all the way up to 37 degrees.

I took the Jag to St. Arbucks this morning and it was 29.
So there.

I didn't take mine out. Warm enough but we got a ton of snow two days ago and the salt is every where.

I was out today as well with Miss Agatha, was about 40, no top of course. Choke off within a mile or so. She loved it, lots of waves etc.

Hey so we're all a little nuts driving 40 & 50 y.o. cars around topless. It's what keeps us young.

Keeps us young, yes. Gives us a warm feeling, yes. Gives us a feeling of respect for old time engineering, yes. Lets us learn how to, yes. Helps us to cherish the past ie our younger years, yes.

Guess this could go on and on. maybe it is just fun, YES.

I took the 4x4 to work today in a pretty decent snow storm. Does that count?

No shirt either? I'm impressed and just a little frightened

I am tired of playing this......it was 15 this morning.
I am afraid we keep reporting temps it will go into the minus!

Did you know that Lucas heater fan motors make a strange sound when you try to make them work at 15 degrees?

Needs a bit of fresh lub in the lifetime lubed bearings.

I have not tested it good since putting the head back on but the way it was last winter I had plenty of heat. It would run you out. It would burn my feet up and I would have to shut the flap and just let it blow out on the passenger side.

Down here in sunny Johannesburg

I always travel in the 20s and 30s. oops that's centigrade.)

Best thing about my Midget is the heater, it could melt the artic.

Hmmm,
1. I'm in Canada
2. My heater works really well....

Don't tell Al Gore!

70 degrees here in Dallas, Tx so I had to take the Bugeye out! Was in the forties last week and we'll get back down to the Fifties in a few days.
