Spelunking Expedition into Bugsy's Boot

So had a chance to crawl into Bugsy's boot area. I see evidence of where a new trunk floor and complete boot was welded in place after what I assume was a rear end collision. Work done well and it appears to just be dirty and slight / no surface rust on the majority of surfaces. There is some ripped / deformed metal around bumper mount floor area that was pounded flat and welded to the new floor area that was installed underneath the existing trunk floor. Until I get it upside down I can't exactly get a good handle on how what appears to be a new trunk floor from underneath was installed. Possible as a single clip with new boot. I'm just not sure at this point. Rear seams were brazed shut so this is one solid piece of metal back there and a BE Boot doesn't have structural unibody frame worries.

Need a recommendation on application of a uniform color back there and how to deal with lack of ventilation back there if applying something smelly like POR-15. Roll on with long handled brush? Spraying anything back there without positive pressure air feed could prove lethal. Ideas?

I've been told that painting the inside of the boot is easier with the car on its side or upside down if you have a tall rotisserie. Still not a fun job. Maybe a couple of well placed fans could help. We have a fresh air breathing system, but I'm not sure I'll be able to see and maneuver well enough when wearing it.
 
It will be on a rotisserie but I don't know with two HF Stands if I can go all of the way upside down. Not sure I want to add my additional body weight while on a rotisserie. I need to make sure Spring Mounts are all properly welded. The pieces around the spring mount are all 100% cleaned up but the side pieces that go between the side of the spring mount and side of the body were only tack welded in placed. I'm sure since all of the suspension is attached to that partial bulkhead panel that was installed on both sides it needs to be welded all of the way around. I need to take some pics and post. LR Suspension repair 2.jpg Not sure if this shows clearly but some of these welds on both sides were not finished all of the way around.
 
Look along the left side of the repair panel. Have same thing on the right side as well. Not finished where it comes close to the body. I plan on adding some additional welds and then POR-15 the underside and especially the spring boxes while on it's side.
 
Jim, I was not clear in my post. When the car is on its side (on the rotisserie) you can more easily reach back into the boot without having to be in the car.
 
Thanks Trevor. Any thoughts on those welds in the picture?
 
Any unfinished weld needs to be finished. I'd spend some time grinding down some of those welds, then place a wood block along the seam and give it a firm hammer blow or two to see if there was adequate weld penetration. I'd also apply seam sealer to all the welds.
