Nope. We had a somewhat muffled (due to some low cruising moisture) but distinct "Thub-dub" and it put down at the Cape. Last minute weather clearing... "waved around" earlier today. Who'd a thunk "waved around" would have an orbital connotation?!?!
We used to get woken up all the time when the Shuttle's decent path took it over Los Angeles. Too many people complained so they changed the flight path to keep it over less populated areas. I was bummed!
I was under the B changing the speedo cable when it went over. The startle caused me to hit my knuckles on the trans. It's very loud here in Orlando but pretty cool.

The greatest achievement of humans so-far has been the ~possibility~ that we can (as a species) "slip the surly bonds"... We'll see. Every egg has a shell. An "egg tooth" has been acquired. Whether or not the chick can eventually soar is entirely up to the chick.
