Looks like Tab has decided to stop his project:
Tab's TR4

I'm very sorry to see that, a lot of nice work going into it I would have loved to see it on the road.

Me too. It IS a beautiful project that I would LOVE to have. But I'm out of work so no $$.

Looked at it, it is a project worth having, if you have the time and $$$$$.

I see that Tab has a reserve on it so I suspect that the reserve would be set so that he doesn't take a hit he doesn't want.

Hope he has good auction, Tinkerman

I think many of us knew this restoration would end in tears. Being upside down on a typical restoration is one thing but this seriously underwater is really sad. There will be no winner here.

Oh no! When he was able to get back to his car and had posted here a couple of times, I was hoping things had turned the corner for him (even a small corner).

It might help if he posted a before picture, otherwise it's hard to imagine what he started with. Nice looking chassis/drivetrain, though....

The before pictures looked just great. I even wondered why he was tearing it all apart again, but the reasons were later explained.

I really hate to see this end this way, but I suppose he has no other choice.

I'm not sure if Tab did that himself - I think it may be something he worked out with Ratco when he had the frame made - might be worth contacting them.

ISTR that it is part of Ratco's shock conversion package, intended to reduce old shock mount flexing.

Really sorry to see this happen. If I had the time and $$$$$$$$$$..........

Anyone have an idea what his sell price might be. I see no recent action on the bidding and no way to contact the owner. I followed closely his ups and downs with this car and might be interested in making an offer, but not through Ebay. There is no phone number for him. I know he lived in Covington, across the lake from New Orleans.

Thanks, Randy. I dropped him a line. See what happens.

I always wanted a TR4 that would kick butt on a TR6!

I knew he wouldn't be dormant for long........it's time to end the hibernation.

His accountant is telling him to spend "mo" money
