I think many of us knew this restoration would end in tears. Being upside down on a typical restoration is one thing but this seriously underwater is really sad. There will be no winner here.

Oh no! When he was able to get back to his car and had posted here a couple of times, I was hoping things had turned the corner for him (even a small corner).
It might help if he posted a <span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="font-style: italic">bef</span>ore</span> picture, otherwise it's hard to imagine what he started with. Nice looking chassis/drivetrain, though....

Can someone point me to reading material on the chassis cross brace shown in red just ahead of the rear end? Thanks.

I'm not sure if Tab did that himself - I think it may be something he worked out with Ratco when he had the frame made - might be worth contacting them.
Anyone have an idea what his sell price might be. I see no recent action on the bidding and no way to contact the owner. I followed closely his ups and downs with this car and might be interested in making an offer, but not through Ebay. There is no phone number for him. I know he lived in Covington, across the lake from New Orleans.
