Glancing at it doesn't count either, you actually have to touch something or pick up a tool Don.

Hey, I worked on it last year.
Ended up going backwards in my quest.

Well, I don't know if I would go that far.
Well been called anal by more than 1 person. Was hooking up the Hi Fire unit to the Mallory E series coil when I decided I didn't want all those separate connections. Started tearing apart the Mallory connectors and I hit a snag. Don't remember what it was but I guess I will find out when I get back to it.
Anybody want to pull my gas tank for me?

Hi Jer - have you thought about setting up a "rule" on the TR3 that each day you'll do something, no matter how small, but something on her every day?
Depends on your temperment, of course, but for me that would kill the whole thing. It's a "hobby", meaning I don't "have" to do anything. Otherwise it quickly becomes a "job" that no one is paying me for; and I have a hard enough time doing the job that I do get paid for !

Of course, that's also why "body off" restoration is not my style; if I keep the car close to drivable then I'm much more motivated to work on it. Then I can set a goal like "drive it to Triumphest" (which I accomplished!).

But YMMV of course.

Sell our old house so we can build the Triumph workshop/garage and get the Triumphs out of storage.

Same here...almost.
Looking for new place with better, bigger shop/garage facilites than the tiny little cave I have now
(with two race cars in it).

Also resolved to stop racing the Triumph-based 1500 engine (in Spridget race car) and race a proper 1275 BMC engine! :jester:

oh wait.....this is the Triumph area. never mind

LOL, yeah this is totally a YMMV thing. For me, I get a lot of satisfaction out of moving projects forward and it is how I relax since it totally different than the rest of my life.

Im gunna quit procrastinating and finally get my new trailer arm bushings installed before the good weather comes and I end up driving the season away again'

My resolution is go from the shot of body coming off to a finished color of the mallardish green. Hopefully Hap's VTO black wheels wrapped with Goodyear white raised letter rubber. Tan original interior.
